Sophisticated Southern Charm

Endearing, distinctive and out of the ordinary. The same words one would use to describe the enchanting city of New Orleans can also be used to describe Windsor Court, a stately hotel that offers old world charm and modern amenities. A rooftop pool and 24-hour bell service are just a few of the comforts the hotel has to offer. Consult with the full-time concierge to find great things to do in New Orleans and then venture out to experience the wonderful food and jazz music for which the city is famous. Get a little spooky and visit one of the Crescent City's hauntingly beautiful cemeteries or go on a ghost tour.

Fresh Things to Do

Featured Activity

  • New Orleans Carnival Season

Beginning on Epiphany and ending on Fat Tuesday, carnival season in New Orleans is the city's most spectacular attraction. Although taking place for nearly a month, the majority of the festivities happen the weekend before and the day of Mardi Gras. Don a colorful costume and enjoy the many parades this fun-filled season has in store.

Feast on a King's Cake. Only available during carnival season, this beloved traditional confection is also called a "Galette des Rois" and can be purchased at any number of upscale bakeries in the city. Whoever finds the lucky plastic baby baked into the cake is named king for the day and is bound by custom to provide the king's cake the following year.

Mardi Gras. The most famous day of carnival season, Mardi Gras has a number of events hosted by krewes that put on the many spectacular parades each year. Parades take place during the morning and midday with each one featuring a different theme. One of the most iconic parades is "Rex, King of the Carnival" and is the main attraction during Mardi Gras day.
