Sunset Key Cottages is located on the private Sunset Key Island 500 yards from Key West. Guests are greeted at the resort’s mainland port at the Margaritaville Key West Resort & Marina and then transported to the resort on a short 7-minute ferry ride. If you are arriving by car, valet services and self-parking are available at the Margaritaville Key West Resort and Marina parking garage.
Key West International Airport (EYW) is the closest airport, located directly on the island of Key West, 4 miles from the Marina. Taxis and other transportation services are readily available from the airport. Other nearby airports include Miami International Airport (MIA), which is 160 miles away, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), which is 190 miles away. The resort concierge can help arrange limousine transportation from these two airports.
If you are arriving by boat, guests may dock at the Margaritaville Key West Resort & Marina, which features a 37-slip marina that can accommodate motor yachts from 25-200 feet long.
The resort’s complimentary ferry service transports guests between Sunset Key and Key West and departs twice hourly 24 hours a day. Guests are provided a transportation schedule at check in.
As the resort is located on a private island, we do not recommend renting a car if you fly directly into Key West.
