The Panoramic Spice Isle

Sleepy Grenada is a treasure of the West Indies. Nicknamed the Spice Island, Grenada is known for exporting nutmeg and cinnamon and notes of these spices fill the air. During your stay you'll happen upon historic forts, cascading waterfalls, gardens, and a kaleidoscope of beaches with sands ranging from powdery white and pink to striking volcanic black. The 18th-century capital city of St. George’s is regarded as one of the prettiest harbor towns in the West Indies. Stroll the hilly streets and admire the colorful, Georgian colonial architecture. The island’s most famous beach is Grand Anse Beach, a two-mile-long stretch of sugary sand near St. George’s. If you’re looking for a more secluded beach, head to Levera in the northeast.

Forecasting Your Grenada Vacation

  • Forecasting your Grenada Vacation

Grenada is a good bet to visit any time of the year. Rain is heaviest from May through November, which is also generally the stormy season. However, the rain helps the island maintain its lush beauty, and crowds are much more sparse during this time. Most of the time, though, the sky is sunny, the beaches beckon, and temperatures hover reliably in the 80s.
