The Fairmont Empress is the ideal combination of old-world glamour and modern convenience. This 109-year-old hotel underwent a two-phase, $60 million dollar renovation completed in June 2017. Distinctive features like the stained glass dome in the Palm Court, the Art Nouveau staircase, and the chandeliers in the Crystal Ballroom have been carefully restored to their original luster, while the Willow Stream Spa and fitness center have been completely upgraded. Replacing the storied Bengal Lounge is the stylish new Q Restaurant and Bar, whose dining room is dominated by colorful oversize portraits of the city’s namesake, Queen Victoria.
