Farmington’s summers are warm and humid, with highs in the mid-80s, and winters are chilly and snowy, with highs in the mid-30s. The area gets around 60–70 inches of snow on average, lending itself nicely to family-friendly skiing at Mystic Mountain and sledding and tubing on Laurel Highlands’ rolling hills. Rain is common in the summer, but June, July, and August are still some of the best times to visit Farmington, especially for outdoor recreation.
